We’re seeking an experienced controller to join this high-performing team.

As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, this person will produce thorough financial-status reports for the management team to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth. The controller will also streamline our inventory costing, budgeting, and financial reporting processes.

Objectives of this role:

• • Provide comprehensive financial updates to the management team by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
  • Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape.
  • Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• • Oversee daily operations of financial aspects including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory Management, ensuring all activities align with our policies and procedures.
  • Handle accounting functions, utilizing skills in areas such as payroll processing, month end close, tax compliance, and assistance with the year end audit.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain and improve cost and pricing procedures, utilizing knowledge of standard cost accounting, specifically within a manufacturing context.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting and administrative team. This involves fostering detail-oriented development and ensuring effective performance management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize working capital and manage cash flow.
  • Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures. Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• • Five or more years of experience in senior or manager level accounting.
  • Strong understanding of banking processes, financial data analysis, and cost accounting.
  • Experience in managing payroll.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: 

• • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or related field.
  • Three years of experience as a controller.
  • Strong computer skills and ERP software experience.
